“Shakira’s Tribute to Education in Colombia: A One-of-a-Kind Hand and Footprint Ceremony”

Shakira will be wrapping up her El Dorado World Tour with a final performance in Bogota, Colombia this Saturday. The renowned singer was also honored with an invitation to participate in the groundbreaking ceremonies of two new schools, one situated in Cartagena and the other in her birthplace, Barranquilla, just a day prior to the concert.

The Pies Descalzos foundation, established by Shakira to support the education of underprivileged children, will be funding the construction of two schools. The foundation has already set up three schools, and this new initiative is being undertaken in collaboration with the Barca Foundation. Shakira herself marked the occasion by leaving her handprints and footprints on a cement cornerstone.

Shakira looked absolutely gorgeous in a blouse that accentuated her shoulders and had exquisite lace panels. She paired it with comfortable blue jeans, creating a stunning look. The Deja Vu singer’s long, curly, blonde locks were bouncy and full of life as she laughed and dipped her foot into the icy cement. She posed for photos with school children who welcomed her warmly at the event, while hundreds more waved and displayed posters.

Shakira has been entertaining her fans on tour since June 3, kicking off in Hamburg, Germany. She’s made her way through 23 countries and performed at 54 concerts. However, the final show on Saturday will be different. Before taking the stage at Parque Simon Bolivar, Shakira will premiere her latest music video for “Nada”. The singer teased her 54.2 million Instagram followers with a sneak peek of the track, which will be available online right after her performance.
